"My experience at GTP began in March 2013, when I was introduced to a wonderful Nurse, Mother and great instructor, Chantelle White. Ms.White is the CEO and instrutor of Gentle Touch Phlebotomy Education. Upon entering the phlebotomy class i knew nothing about drawing blood but it ended up being one of the best experences in my life. Ms.White taught me everything from the basic set up to the most important things there is to know about being a phlebotomist. I can truly say I have learned a lot since I completed the program at GTP. I've been blessed with several opportunities. Shortly after clinicals I was hired at Beaumont Hospital in the Hematology/Oncology department it was a wonderful experience. Five months later i was offered my current position which I really wanted to do and that is working with children at the DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan. I love it here, at first I was a little nervous about drawing blood on infants, but after awhile it just became second nature to me. Most recently, I was just offered a position working for the State of Michigan's Federal prision as a Phlebotomist. I give all my thanks to my instructor Ms.White, who has always told everyone in the class "we can do this" even when some people wanted to give up, she would slow down rewind until we understood everything she was explaining. So, for anyone who is interested in the phlebotomy program visit GTP."
"Im officially a Phlebotomist! Thanks to Gentle Touch Phlebotomy Education. I got blood from 10 people on my first day!"
"Thanks to Gentle touch Phlebotomy School, I have been able to get a job as a lab tech at St. John Hospital. I received an interview only three months after finishing the course and getting my certification. The instructors have great communication and work ethic at this school. If you love health care and would like to get some experience, Gentle Touch Phlebotomy is a great place to go."
"Almost two years ago, I would've never guessed I would be in the position I am now. To think that all it took was enrolling in Gentle Touch Phlebotomy. I have to admit that on my first day, I was a bit intimated coming in as a 19 year old with absolutely no clinical experience but by the end of the first two weeks, before I knew it, I was doing blood draws as if I did it on the daily basis. Completing this course and successfully passing the NHA certification exam gave me the confidence I needed to continue progressing forward on my path to pursuing medicine. I am now currently a phlebotomist technician working with a graduate student at the University of Michigan Institute of Social Research and each day has been a fulfilling and rewarding experience. For this, I want to give a huge shout out to Chantelle White and her team for making this opportunity possible for me!"
